The Start-up Series
The Start-up Series is a collaboration with the Nottingham Entrepreneurs where we aim to help inspire potential entrepreneurs. Moreover, the series aims to equip our members with entrepreneurial and leadership skills as both are crucial in the modern working environment.
In our first event – which is available to watch on our YouTube Channel – we talked to Dean Ahmad from The Apprentice. In the event, Dean talks about being a young entrepreneur, what it’s like behind the scenes of The Apprentice and the creation of his business.
In our second event, we collaborated with P&G on a innovation workshop. The event was incredibly successful, offering an overview on how P&G innovate products before our members proposed new innovation ideas. The winning teams received £20 of Amazon vouchers each with all participants also receiving certificates.
In collaboration with FinTech Society, BML have created a Start-Up competition. The competition has three different rounds: the value-proposition round, a marketing round and a final investor round. After each rounds, the 11 teams are then assessed by judges from the industry and both committee’s and awarded a point’s score. The winning team will then receive £300 of investment for their business idea. The current league table is shown below!
